UK Family Travel Bucket List 2017

UK Family Travel Bucket List 2017
I always write a list of places we want to visit at the beginning of the year – mainly places I would love to take photos of the kids. I thought this year I would share it so that at the end of the year we can look back and see what we managed to tick off. Ours are all UK based as I like to be able to pack up the car with all the junk we take with us! So here is my travel bucket list for 2017, some are new places, and some are places we have been to before and loved….
Tenby area – I have never been to Pembrokeshire and hear regularly how beautiful it is. Can anyone recommend a lovely beach to visit?
Winter walk and fish and chips in Weston Super Mare – although not the prettiest seaside town (my brother called it Weston Super Mud when we were little) it is lovely in the winter for a walk with Harley and less than an hour from us. Fish and Chips are a must.
Charlestown, St Austell – my mum and dad love it and so we are planning a family holiday with them to visit it. I think Ollie would love the ships in the harbour and the beach looks amazing.
Fowey, Cornwall – a place my mum used to holiday as a child. I have never been so want to visit.
Sennen Cove, Cornwall – we have been once before in 2014 and I got some amazing photos of the kids there. I want to go back with Mason. Izzie and Ollie loved the rock pools there.

Praa Sands, Cornwall – again another lovely beach we have visited a few times now. I always get gorgeous photos of the kids here.

Looe, Cornwall– we make a yearly trip to Looe and go crabbing. The kids love it. This is from our trip in 2015. We usually go for a day as part of our holiday.

Looe 2016 – Mason’s first time in the sea!

Newquay, Cornwall – we have a family holiday with Ells family where stay in a caravan park that Ell stayed in growing up. The kids get so excited for the caravan and the activities on the Parkdean site which is about 20 minutes outside of Newquay. It is a great base as you can travel to most places in Cornwall from there in a short amount of time.

Padstow, Cornwall – again we visit as part of our holiday. It is  beautiful there and we didn’t get to go last year. The fish and chips there are out of this world and I love the little shops.
Woolacombe, Devon for a day (early spring) – Woolaxombe was my childhood holiday spot and I want to take the kids and the dog early spring so we can have some beach time. Gorgeous area and  we haven’t ever been with the boys – the last time was when I was pregnant with Ollie. I’m not sure if it is still there but there used to be an amazing ice cream parlour there too.

Oxford – I went for my friends hen do in 2016 and would love to go back. We went punting and it was great fun – I think the kids would love it – although I’m not sure if Mason would sit still enough. Maybe later part of the summer would be best so he is a bit older – and less fidgety!
@bristol, TheSS Great Britain and Clifton Suspension Bridge, Bristol – we are less than half an hour from Bristol and I haven’t been to @bristol since I was at school. Izzie and Ollie would love it there. I also want to take them to see the SS Great Britain – I have fond memories of a school trip here. Clifton Suspension bridge has such lovely views so I’d like to take the kids across it – maybe a Sunday afternoon trip – my mum and dad always took us out for a ‘drive’ on Sundays and I loved seeing new places – and maybe getting a sneaky ice cream.
London – we took Izzie to see Wicked in August last year and are hoping to take her and Ollie to see a show this year – they really love Matilda so maybe that.
A festival (local) – we try and do this every summer. This year Boondocks isn’t happening but Sherstonfest is – and we want to go! It’s by the same team and the whole family has an amazing time.
Legoland, Windsor – we went when Mason was a baby in 2015 but now Ollie is really into Lego and I think he would really appreciate visiting there for the day.
I can’t wait to see how many of these we can check off. 2017 is going to be a good year!
Where are you planning to go this year?
