“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gibran

I’m late with thus weeks Living Arrows. The last 10 days have been unbelievable, even by our households recent spate of illness. Last week Izzie started off a new tummy bug, followed by Mason. I got it Friday, and am still feeling the effects now. It even took Ell down. Ollie is luckily still standing.
Tuesday this week was Valentines Day. We are not big Valentines celebrators I have to say – it seems like the money could be better spent elsewhere. Our plans for our usual takeaway and movie were well and truly scuppered by the sickness bug. We spent the day sharing the loo and trying to parent (badly) three very lively (and luckily well) kids.
For the most part they were amazing, and Izzie, who loves any kind of crafting, managed to organise herself and Ollie in making ‘Balentines’ cards.
They were so sweet – they made them for me and Ell, even Uncle Jase got one (designed by Ollie with Power Rangers on it – just what every 27 year old male wants).
This weeks photo is my beautiful kind hearted big girl who wanted to cheer us up with her Valentines cards – it was such a sweet gesture.
(Also to note, she has it in her head that I’m 27 – even when I celebrated my 30th birthday she kept telling everyone they had it wrong – hence why our ages are on the cards. This makes me love her even more!)
Onwards and upwards now- we will have a sunny positive Living Arrows next week – I’m determined!

Oh she looks so proud and that card is gorgeous! We don't really do Valentines either but Athena made 'love cards' at school! x
