Halloween and Bonfire Night 2016

Halloween and Bonfire Night 2016
Every year the kids put their request in for carving the pumpkin – it is Daddy’s specialty. Over the years we’ve had everything from Mickey Mouse, to black cats. This year was Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas!

We had my best friends daughters first birthday party on the Sunday, the day before Halloween – she is a Halloween baby, so the kids got to dress up two days in a row. It was a bit of a nightmare to get them all looking for a photo and this was the best I could get haha!

The following day, on actual Halloween, Ollie was back to preschool, but late in the afternoon we went out trick or treating for the very first time with our friends. The kids had an amazing time, and came home with a ridiculous amount of sweets, that Daddy is now working his way through  – thinking of the kids teeth obviously! The village went all out for Halloween, and we were so impressed!

Both of Mason’s outfits were recycled from Ollie in previous years, and Ollie didn’t want to be Frankenstein two days running so was a pirate!
Bonfire Night – we spent bonfire night at the display in the village I grew up in with friends. I didn’t take many photos as it was so dark (obviously!!) but I did get this one of our baby bear. Mason wasn’t at all frightened by the fireworks and was laughing everytime they popped!
The kids were also given sparklers, and so we did these at home…I need to research better ways to take sparkler photos for next year but here is Izzie doing it 🙂

We had an amazing Halloween and bonfire night – now we can start looking forward to Christmas…can’t wait!
