{Living Arrows 2017} #20

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gilbran Izzie was born on the 8th April 2010, 5 days overdue weighing a tiny 5lb 14oz. She was such a tiny little dot, and has maintained that as she’s grown. She perfectly in proportion, but always tinier than her classmates, despite regular growth spurts. Lately she has developed a bit of complex about it but as I keep telling her good things come in small packages. I am only 5ft 2, and my mum is just over 5ft. She has our short genes! Last…

Father’s Day 2017 | with Waterwipes

As a child I was lucky to have a very hands on Dad – he worked hard to give us everything but he was always there for weekends and every spare second he had – he still is, although these days it is more for leaking taps and car brake emergencies (true story). I am so lucky that Ell is also a very hands on dad to our children – like my dad he works so hard to provide for our family and yet is always there for every parents evening, sports day and everytiume a little person cries out…

Our Holiday to Carlyon Bay, St Austell | June 2017

We’ve not long returned from our holiday to Cornwall – and the holiday blues have well and truly set back in, with the return to the school run, and the madness that the en dot the school summer term brings. We had a wonderful time away – not really doing much. This time we went with my parents, and stayed in a gorgeous property in Carlyon Bay, near Charlestown (where they…

The Ordinary Moments #18 Just A Bucket & Spade

All three of my children have loved the beach from an early age. I know some children don’t like the sand, and get quite grumpy but with mine that has never been the case. Last week we went on our first summer holiday of 2017 to Cornwall – near St Austell. For the majority of the three hour journey, Izzie and Ollie talked about the beach and the sea and they were so excited. We weren’t able to get into our acclamation until after 4pm, and so after picking some lunch we headed straight to the beach and the kid…

The Me & Mine Project – June 2017

June Me & Mine June has flown by and we are nearly into July and the last few weeks of school. The last couple of weeks of preschool for Ollie before he starts school in September. I’m wishing the time away as I can’t wait for it to be the summer holidays and to be out of our routine and not rushing around and shouting like a crazy person every morning. On the other hand though it is bittersweet as I will be losing another one of my babies into the school system. Don’t get me wrong he is totally…

Mummy Style: UK Holiday Capsule Wardrobe

*This post is not sponsored in any way, I’ve just picked items that I love and/or already own* I actually made myself laugh when I wrote the title of this post – capsule wardrobe – pah! As my long suffering husband who has to squeeze everything into the car when we go away will tell you, I do not pack lightly! Obviously I would not only take these items with me – chances are we could have a week of blazing sunshine, and the coats and jumpers would not be needed. As we live in Britain, the likelihood is there…
