{Living Arrows 2017} #19

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gilbran I always joke about my boys being little monkeys – they clamber and climb everything – out of cots, over the sofa, and they love the playground. What I didn’t realise however was that Ollie has taught himself to climb trees – and he can do it well! No wonder I am going grey. To look around and suddenly see your four year old several feet off the ground – a bit of a heart stopping moment. Although as Ell told me, he’s not…

Daily #FML Mum Moments

I adore my kids. They are my absolute world. The only thing is, as they’ve got older, I find more and more that I find them in situations where I end up muttering ‘F**k my life’ to myself, some days on an hourly basis. Obviously this is said in jest, but my kids end up doing the strangest things. Things i honestly never thought when I saw that Clearblue pregnancy test flash up ‘PREGNANT’ that i would be dealing with. Obviously having lost a baby, I am well aware that I should ‘appreciate every moment’, but sometimes in day to…

Our Dream {Howdens Burford}Kitchen Reveal

*This post is in no way sponsored by any of the companies or products mentioned, I am sharing because I’ve had a lot of questions about where everything came from.* Monday 27th February 2017. Not a particularly significant date to many people, but it will go down in history in our house as the day the cat flooded the kitchen. Yes you read that right. the cat flooded the kitchen. Anyone who follows me on Instagram will know the panic I felt that day when I cam home from the school run slightly later than usual as the kids had…

{The Ordinary Moments} #17 A Familiar Summer Walk

As I’m so behind, obviously these photos were taken a few weeks ago in the half term holidays, but I couldn’t not share them. I love the school holidays, as as much as it can be a bit stressful having all three children to entertain at once, I love the freedom that it gives us. When Izzie was a baby , me and my mum would walk for miles and miles with her in the pushchair, usually doing the same lop near my mums house. It is mostly down lanes or country roads so you very rarely see traffic. Now…

Keeping My Clumsy Kids Safe at Nighttime

I know I’ve said this a million times before, and I will say it again. My kids are clumsy. Izzie was never a climber, but she managed to trip and fall or bump on a daily basis (although it has got better as she’s got older). The boys are a whole other level of clumsy. They scrabble, and they climb as a result bump. Mason, who has just turned 2 is notorious for being able to scale things with the ability of a baby monkey. In the last few months he has climbed out of his cot more times than…

The Siblings Project – June 2017

I can’t believe we are now into June – halfway through 2017 already. The last month has flown by, in a blur of half term – a nice snotty one at that, sorting out the messy remnants of the kitchen renovation, various house projects, school functions and more ‘mum admin’ than I’d like. This month I have enrolled Mason at preschool for next Summer – and woah didn’t I freak out. He is definitely not a baby anymore, although we are still really struggling with his speech – he just grunts and nods and shakes his head. He’s actually regressed,…
