#PrezzoLaFamiglia | A (Non Stressful) Family Meal Out | Britmums

*This post is an entry for the BritMums #PrezzoLaFamiglia Challenge, sponsored by Prezzo* No matter how hard I’ve tried with my kids, they aren’t the best at mealtimes. We’ve always made them sit to the table from weaning age onwards, but they seem to fidget so much, and find any excuse not to eat what I’ve cooked for them. I feel bad saying this, but for this reason, we often avoid taking them for meals out, as it usually ends in tears (mine) and fighting (them). They can never agree what they want to eat, and whatever one has, the…

{Living Arrows 2017} #18

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gilbran This weeks Living Arrows was a particularly proud mummy moment for me.  Izzie took her promises at Brownies, and got to wear her uniform for the first time. She was so proud and looked so grown up. When she was repeating her promises I had a tear in my eye – I am so lucky I get to be this little ones mummy.  It also surprised me how all the Brownie songs and traditions came flooding back to me. I found myself repeating ‘twist…

Toddlebike2 Review

When you have three kids of varying ages, it can be frustrating because the little one always wants to do the things the older ones are, and that isn’t always possible. Take Bike Riding for example. Izzie has just managed to let go of her stabilisers, and Ollie is riding confidently on just one. Mason who has just turned 2 is too small for a regular bike, and struggled with more traditional balance types bikes as he couldn’t keep them upright. Therefore I was so excited when I heard that we were being sent a Toddlebike2 to review. I’d not…

Parent/School Mornings Organisation | Hacks & Tips

This week Izzie and Ollie went back to school and preschool after half term (side note: I cannot believe it is Ollie’s last term at preschool!). I am a stay at home / work at home mum and I find it so hard to get organised – really, hats off to working mums, you actually deserve a medal – or at least a lot of wine/gin. Our morning routine is hectic, and loud and mad – we have to be out the door by 8.15am as Ollie’s preschool is in the next village along from Izzie’s school, and long story…

{Living Arrows 2017} #17

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gilbran I love joining in each week and sharing a moment of childhood. This weeks photo was taken during half term, after we had all been for a lovely long walk in the sunshine. I know that Mason is now 2, but it still surprises me when he does things like the other two – for example, eating his own ice cream. My Mum always insists on covering the kids in old muslin cloths when they have ice cream – as you can tell by the…

{The Ordinary Moments} #16 Mason turned 2 & a mum guilt confession

I haven’t been around for the The Ordinary Moments lately – turns out our ordinary was just way too much dust, mess and a stressed mummy, during the kitchen renovation. As soon as that finished we moved on to the living room with various other mini projects in between. I’ve ended up feeling guilty as things have got pushed to the side, and life has ticked by in a blur of mayhem. We did however manage to get the kitchen finished in time to hold a 2nd Birthday party for Mason. When I say in time, it was literally a…
