{Living Arrows 2017} #11

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gibran At the moments the weeks are seeming to fly by, and I am measuring them by when Izzie’s homework is due in. She has a choice of five pieces of homework each term, of which she has to pick three, and they are due in every two weeks. This weekend saw the final piece being done for this term – and Izzie chose a baking one. We made gingerbread – and they actually taste good. Here she is looking very pleased with her work. She is…

{The Ordinary Moments 2017} #11 Mothers Day & Meeting Their Heroes

The last few weeks have been a bit overwhelming and stressful and I haven’t linked up to The Ordinary Moments – mainly because I’ve been taking a bit of a step back, but also because things have felt really negative and I didn’t want that to be a constant theme on my blog. Theres not one particular thing that has been making things hard, just lots of random small things – like our damaged kitchen, the decluttering I’ve undertaken trying to make life a little easier on myself (and in turn just made a big mess),  and loads going on…

The Me & Mine Project – March 2017

March seems to have just flown by and its time again to post our Me & Mine Project photos. It has overall been a positive month for us, compared to February (wow February sucked). Spring has sprung and the germs seem to have disappeared with winter – you have no idea how happy I am to write that. Saturday evening planning it…

{Living Arrows 2017} #10

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gibran It has been ever hectic and crazy in our house, and it was amazing to get away for a couple of days to Legoland and just ‘be’ with the kids.   I had to include this photo, because what is a better defining moment of childhood than a light sabre battle with Darth Vader….especially when at 4 you know more about Star Wars than Daddy – like father like son. See who else has linked up this week with Living Arrows with Donna at What…

A Spring Bedroom Update: Curtains & Bedding with Yorkshire Linen

At the end of last summer, we redecorated our bedroom  – it was previously a dark purple colour, and although I liked it at the time we had done it in 2011, I was ready for something a little more grown up. With three children, our bedroom is the only area of the house that is truly ours, and I wanted it to be cosy and inviting, but also look fresh and clean. We went for a combination of grey colours, and fresh white linens, and I absolutely love it. Now that Spring is upon us, as much as I…

#VlogStars | March 2017

At the moment I am LOVING youtube – I’ve got so into it, despite never even opening iMovie or editing anything before October 2016. I enjoy filming and editing but sometimes its hard to work out what content to upload- my primary aim when starting my channel was to vlog to capture our family memories, but in reality, our lives day to day are pretty standard, and not too exciting. I was so excited when Katy and Collette announced Vlog Stars – and I’m excited to be linking up each month. I’m a bit behind as I missed last month…
