Bluebells March 2016

We are so lucky to live a very short distance from the National Arboretum at Westonbirt, and as we have an annual membership, we spend a lot of time there, walking the dog, or meeting friends as they have a great play area. If you are in the Cotswolds, its beautiful for a day out, but in Autumn, gets incredibly busy. In March, we visited, and I had my ‘big camera’ and managed to get a few shots of the little Brushneens amongst the bluebells.                              …

What we did Summer 2016 – Week 2

Week 2 1st-5th August (This is a shorter week as we went on holiday on Saturday, so wanted to include our week away in one post) This week was again a very quiet week – I had in the back of my mind that we were going away on the Saturday, and so most of the week was spent tidying, cleaning and washing clothes. Monday started off quiet, but within two hours of breakfast, Izzie had given Ollie a black eye (accidentally). The rest of the day was spent having a catch up with one of my best friends and…

What we did Summer 2016 Week 1

The plan this summer was to have a quiet and lazy one. By the end of the summer term, both kids were exhausted and zombie like and I was dreaming of a break from the school run (made especially harder by kids who didn’t want to go as they were worn out). Week 1 25th-31st July This week was the week of swimming…

Mason’s 1st Birthday

Mason turned 1 on Saturday 14th May 2016. It is bittersweet when your final baby reaches their first birthday. I find myself looking forward to all the firsts left to come, but mourning the newborn stage, and the first smiles, and all the things I won’t get to experience with my babies again. We had a small garden party with family and friends to celebrate, and as we had just finished laying the artificial grass not long before, I was so pleased with how the garden looked –  we recycled the christening bunting for the 4th time and it made…

Weekend Walk

We live in a beautiful area in the Cotswolds. Our house is on the edge of a smallish market town, but you are always only minutes drive from the fields. On Saturdays, Ell plays football, so we had a plan to go out looking for conkers (turns out it was slightly early, so we plan on trying again nearer to half term), and to catch the last bit of summer sunshine at Nanny’s. My mum lives in a small village with plenty of lovely walks…
