“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gilbran

Anyone who pops over here regularly will realise that I haven’t been around much lately. Mainly due to the work happening on our house – which has tapered off for the moment as we are nearly done – and secondly because living in the mess in a small house with three young children managed to overwhelm me. At times it felt like I would never be organised again.

Due to this, photo taking has been few and far between as the weekends have passed in a blur of decorating and dust – nothing photo worthy.

Today marks the start of half term and hopefully a more relaxed time.

I thought I’d share a few of the random photos I have taken over the last few weeks that were Living Arrows moments. Izzie managed to FINALLY ride her bike without stabilisers – Izzie will always do things in her own time, when she wants to – and when she decided to go for it there was no turning back. She’s so proud of her new birthday bike too! I’m realising more and more that scenes like this will be few and far between in September when Ollie starts full time school. They all squabble a lot, but both Izzie and Ollie are incredibly sweet to Mason and I snapped this on the school run the other day.

At least someone enjoyed all the dust sheets…he thought it was hilarious to be perched on top of the sofa whilst Daddy was painting – my little climber!

Izzie went on her first Brownie trip to a local dairy farm – and I got to go along too. They got to feed the younger calfs and even got to see one that was born that morning. Izzie loves animals and always has since she was tiny. We also got to see how the cows were milked, and try some ice cream and yoghurt that was made on the farm.

Due to the mess at home, we’ve been spending time at the park after school and it’s been lovely. Izzie is so good with Mason who refuses to use the equipment for younger children and always wants to go down the big slide. She is always right by his side making sure he’s ok. It makes me very proud that she is so kind to him – especially when she could just run off and play with the kids her age.

I will be linking up with Donna at What The Redhead Said this week for Living Arrows – you can see who else has linked up here…

It’s hard to keep on top of the photo taking when life gets busy isn’t it. It sounds like you have manged to squeeze in some fun despite all the house chaos. Well done to Izzy for learning to ride her bike, that’s next on our list for Daisy. #LivingArrows

You’ve captured some lovely photographs here. There are so many moments as a parent when we realise they are growing up isn’t there. I bet September will be here before we know it too!

I love how you’ve shared a few photos whilst you’ve been away – and don’t worry about not joining in every week, life often gets in the way 🙂 I hope the work is getting there, I know how stressful it can be x

I feel for you with the decorating and renovating situation, we only have two kids and I don’t think I will ever be organised again! Love the pictures, especially the bike one :). Hope you had a nice relaxing half term x #LivingArrows
