“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gibran

The past week hasn’t been a very good one. We had a very poorly Mason again (luckily we were able to get his inhalers into him quickly) and with the stress of it all, my anxiety reared its head for the first time in a long time. Thankfully, now at the start of a new week, Mason is all better, and I am feeling much more myself. Because of everything going on, I didn’t take many photos last week, but wanted to share these two of my three.
Izzie has never been a fan of reading ‘school’ books – she has always loved books, but she doesn’t like having to sit down and read to us. This week she found a book that she was interested in, and read it, without us having to bribe her, and she did it amazingly well. I had a very proud mummy moment. I also think its crazy how she is learning to read with the same books that me & Ell learnt with 25 years ago – good old Biff Chip and Kipper.

This photo of the boys was a big moment for Ollie this week. I’m not sure if its a middle child thing, or just that he has a younger sibling but he can get very possessive of his toys – luckily this only happens at home, as I’m assured he is more than willing to share at preschool. We went out for some fresh air on Thursday, and whilst we were getting our boots on Ollie let Mason have a go on his bike. Probably not a huge deal to most, but to us, it was huge. I felt very proud of him for letting his little brother play – long may it continue. Seeing them playing together was so so lovely to watch, and I’m really looking forward to the summer as I think they will be able to have so much fun outside.
See who else has linked up with Living Arrows this week here…

It's so cute that Ollie has learnt to share. They look so cute together and I know what you mean about the reading. Athena had no interest in reading to us until a few weeks ago and now she's reading whole books out loud – so proud! x
