“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”
Kahlil Gilbran

One of my favourite songs is a song by Taylor Swift called ‘Never Grow Up’.

Your little hands wrapped around my finger
And it’s so quiet in the world tonight
Your little eyelids flutter cause you’re dreaming
So I tuck you in and turn on your favorite nightlight
To you, everything’s funny
You got nothing to regret
I’d give all I have honey
If you could stay like that
Oh darling don’t you ever grow up, don’t you ever grow up
Just stay this little
Oh darling don’t you ever grow up, don’t you ever grow up
It could stay this simple
I won’t let nobody hurt you
Won’t let no one break your heart
No one will desert you
Just try to never grow up
Never grow up

Every time I hear it, it brings tears to my eyes, as it reminds me that time passes by so quickly, and sometimes I can see my babies grow in leaps and bounds right in front of me.

Mason, being the youngest has always been very much ‘the baby’. I think because of his delay in talking, and the fact that he is fussed over by everyone.

These last few weeks I’ve really noticed that he really isn’t a baby anymore. When Izzie and Ollie play, now he joins sin – he can be found wielding a light sabre with the best of them. He does however still like his naps.

As I’ve not been around here for a while I thought I would share a few photos of him that made me double take at how big he had gotten when we were on holiday.

He will always be my baby though.

He still looks like a baby to me – a baby dipping his toes in toddlerdom! Such beautiful photos – and a beautiful song x
