You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”
Kahlil Gilbran

I didn’t realise how long it has been since I linked up with Living Arrows. Life has been so crazy lately, and time is just flying. I’m starting to panic a little about everything we have to fit in before Christmas – and generally just trying to remember everything day to day.

I wanted to write this post today, as I took some photos during half term, and they made really sit up and realise how big my babies were getting.

Obviously I know they are growing up, but as a Mum I find it hard – I want them to stay little forever (although some moments of the day do make me wish the time away – 5am wake ups I’m looking at you!).

Life is so busy and sometimes I forget to stop and just look at them – and then I take a photo and it hits me like a tonne of bricks how much they are growing.

Just the little things, but they should be celebrated.

Izzie has suddenly clicked with spellings and she has gone from getting 3/10 to getting 10/10 every week. I’m amazed as it has happened all of a sudden.

Ollie surprises me every day with his need to learn and how much he loves it. His teacher said he loves practicing his letter – and we tested him on some ‘tricky words’ the other day and he game straight out with them. Such a proud parenting moment.

And the littlest? He has gone from grunting to actually speaking – when he said ‘milk please mummy’ the other day my heart literally melted. He’s trying to say new words every day – at the weekend I think he came out with at least 10 new words. He also has the cutest voice – he says mummy and daddy in the most British accent. It is just adorable.

I’m going to try and make more of an effort to link up more often – I started out the year so well, and the posts are so lovely to look back on.

If you would like to see who else has linked up this week for Living Arrows with the lovely Donna at What The Redhead Said, you can do so by clicking here – and don’t forget to check out all the others who have linked up too!

Gorgeous photos, except I need an icecream now! I think sometimes it’s easy to get swept along with how busy parenthood is and photographs like these make us take a moment take everything in. Well done to Izzie with her spellings, I think some of the spellings these get I would struggle with, thank goodness for spell checker! Hope you have a lovely week xx

Yay, glad to see we weren’t the only ones to still be eating ice cream cones in October! I’m still waiting for my small one to say ”milk mumma”, when I encourage him to he skips straight to ”yayyyyy” which we overegged one time when we were trying to get him to talk.

Oh it looks like you had such a lovely half term – and they really are getting big! Bring back that beautiful weather too! x

Oh these are so lovely, and I especially love that they’re having ice creams even though it’s not summer anymore! x
