What we did Summer 2016 Week 1
The plan this summer was to have a quiet and lazy one. By the end of the summer term, both kids were exhausted and zombie like and I was dreaming of a break from the school run (made especially harder by kids who didn’t want to go as they were worn out).
We had a family holiday planned for a week in Cornwall, and a little day trip to London and a week of intensive swimming lessons for Izzie, but otherwise the plan was to go with the flow.
Week 1 25th-31st July
This week was the week of swimming lessons. Izzie does a weekly swimming class every Tuesday but I wanted to get her swimming without arm bands full time. This week she did a half hour lesson every day at 10am. Unfortunately this clashed with Masons nap time and as you aren’t able to take pushchairs poolside, I was very lucky that my mother in law and mum were able to watch the boys each morning. By the end of the week, Izzie had completed her 10m swimming badge. Totally worth doing.

Because of this, the afternoons were mainly spend chilling in the garden on in front of the tv.
Mason also walked properly for the first time this week! (This is a screen shot of the video)

We also did a little trip to our local huge Tesco with nanny and bought a few things for holiday.

Saturday was visit to Nanny and Grampys for the afternoon, as Mummy and Daddy went to the wedding of one of my oldest friends. We had a lovely (child free ?) afternoon. It was lovely to get dressed up too!
On the Sunday, some family time was needed. We took Harley for a long river walk in Malmesbury stopping at Daniels Well. He had a whale of a time, swimming and jumping in the river, Mason had his first time in the back carrier, and we even managed to paddle our feet as it was such a lovely day.

We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful area.
