I’m rushing to write this months Me & Mine Project, amongst tidying the house and putting up more Halloween decorations. All of a sudden the nights have got darker, and we are nearly in the realms of Christmas prep season (November). October has, like every month before it, absolutely flown by in a blur of our holiday to Wales, school and homework, and half term. Every month I say, this month is going to be busy but next month is quieter, and then by the time the next month has come around the calendar is full again. I think I’m…

As I write this sentence I know that most parents reading this will want to slap me (I’m so sorry) All of my babies slept through the night from a few weeks old. Before you lynch me, please just keep reading. I honestly wish I had a magic formula to explain why but I don’t. Obviously they woke for feeds and dirty nappies but even when teething they didn’t really wake and we had hardly any sleepless nights. Izzie was always a very heavy sleeper, so much so that when she was toilet trained we had to wake her to…

It has been a funny old half term. The kids have had a week and three days off, and the majority of them have been pretty horrible weather – between storms and grey days, there has been a lot of indoor time and Netfix watching. Along with MC2 which I mentioned that Izzie loved, she is also very into Lalaloopsy. She loved the characters, and was excited to find out that Netflix have now released a new range of large dolls based on the series. Izzie actually owns some Lalaloopsy baby dolls, but they are totally made of plastic and…

We are fans of a good ‘board’ game in this house – extra points if its a game that can be enjoyed by the whole family. Having children that range from age 2 and a half to 7 and a half, this can be a pretty big ask. We were very excited to receive Bunny Jump to try out. It is actually suitable from age 5 upwards but Mason was actually quite happy playing it with a bit of help from his older siblings.  The official tag line of the game is ‘Safely sitting on top of his burrow, the…

Does anyone else with a seven year old ever feel like they have a mini teenager? Izzie is giving me some good glimpses of what the future holds – she’s obsessed with doing her hair, and what she wears already – although she does still let me pick her clothes for the most part. Most recently she has been utterly obsessed with the Netflix show MC2 – a show about a group of teenage girls who work for a female government organisation who are trying to protect the world. The series is very ‘geek chic’ – the girls all have…

*This is a collaborative post with Simply Supplements I know what you are thinking… she’s not pregnant? No I’m not (you can stop panicking now Ell). However during all my pregnancies, I suffered with the most horrendous morning sickness. I say morning sickness, I’m not sure who came up with that name – most likely someone who had never suffered from it. My sickness was all day and into the evenings – sometimes I would even wake up in the night feeling nauseous. It was always my first symptom of pregnancy too – I would start feeling nauseous before I’d…
