The Me & Mine Project – November 2017

This month has sort of flown by but when you are waiting for something exciting (CHRISTMAS!) it’s also kind of dragged. It’s been a good month, busy as always. As I’ve said before life seems to just be busy now, I think I just need to work out how to handle it better. I’ve had an exciting month where I went to London for the day to a wonderful event ran by Mumsnet and even managed to take a tube for the first time by myself (I get how sad that sounds). Annoyingly although the event was amazing, I ended…

Power Rippers 2 in 1 Competition Set | REVIEW

I would say we are quite a competitive family – I actually look forward to when the kids are a bit older so we can pick teams and go head to head during board games. Ell especially is a big kid and loves any toy that he can get down on the floor and play with the kids. I’m not sure who was more excited when we received the Power Rippers 2 in 1 competition set – Ell or the kids. It has been set up so many times since we received it and they’ve had hours of fun with…

A Sunday Tradition | Toby Carvery Trowbridge Review

As a kid, every Sunday without fail we would have a roast dinner. Whether my Mum cooked it, or my Nan – even when we were on holiday we would even find a Carvery or somewhere serving Sunday lunch. Since being married and having children, I have to say it isn’t a tradition that I’ve continued. Personally I find it too much to cook a roast dinner every week, as our weekends are always super busy, with homework, and trying to squeeze in the all important family time together. By the time you have shopped for what you need, cooked…

The Hair Helper Review | Hair Accessory Storage for a messy 7 year old

I’m not sure if it is that Izzie is the eldest, that she’s a born muddler, or that she takes after her mother and hoards everything, but wow does she have a messy bedroom full of things. Having the smallest room probably doesn’t help, but believe me when I say, Izzie likes to collect thing. From little toys, to bits of string (that she may later need for a ‘craft project’), you name it and you will probably find it in her bedroom. The thing we probably have to most of though, is hair accessories. From a tiny baby, Izzie…

The Siblings Project – November 2017

The last month from October to November  has again been a whirl of hectic family life. Clubs, homework and school runs are our normal these days. I think with the weather getting colder (and the in the run up to Christmas) snuggling on the sofa and keeping warm has been our main goal this month. When we can we like to try and get out for some fresh air – especially with the dog. All three of the kids get so excited when they see that ‘Jack Frost’ has been in the mornings too. We’ve also embraced the dreaded germs…

All I Want For Christmas… perfect present ideas for her*

*that I would REALLY love (*hint hint wink wink*) I’m sat under a blanket compiling this list. It’s a Monday morning, I’ve got two poorly boys, one who is home from school, and I’m feeling not so great myself. I’ve been in a lot of pain with a cyst on my ovary – the first I’ve had in nearly three years – and I’ve had to cancel a planned trip to London on Wednesday, where I was going to be visiting Youtube HQ. I needed some serious cheering up, and so thought I would write my Christmas list – my…
