{Living Arrows 2017} #22 Festival Fun & Neon Lipstick

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gilbran   I love living where we do in Wiltshire  – its green and open and we are surrounded by countryside. I also love being part of the community – admittedly not in the village we actually live in, but the one where Izzie goes to school. They always have the best events going on, and this summer was no exception. For the last two summers we have visited the Boondocks Festival – its a little festival, very family orientated, great music and great food…

10 Travel/Packing Tips for a Holiday with Younger Children…

As we are off on holiday tomorrow I thought I would write down my top 10 tips for packing for a holiday with children…. Get them to pack their own bags  – I don’t mean clothes, but give them a bag and whatever toys, books, games or hair things they want to take, they can pack in their own bag for themselves. It teaches them a bit of responsibility, and takes the pressure off of you if anything if forgotten. If you have a younger child who still uses a travel cot, I highly recommend one of these travel cot…

Autumn Wishlist for Girls | Izzie’s Wardrobe

I love it when the seasons change and the new fashions come in. I love looking for myself (you can see my top picks for me here) but I also love looking for the kids. Izzie is a dream to dress, she is delightfully girly, and is more than happy to still let me pick her clothes (although she’s blatantly going to rebel majorly when she is a teenager in payback). She loves anything pink and brightly coloured. I’ve scoured some of my favourite brands and found some pieces I would love to add to her wardrobe for this autumn…

The Me & Mine Project – July 2017

I was bit surprised when my phone reminded me the other day that it was time to write this months Me & Mine Project. July has passed us by in a blur to be honest. I think the run up to the end of the school year is always manic – theres so many things to remember and so many events going on. We’ve had sports days, leavers presentations, a festival, a visit to the Lavender Farm, been duck racing, and had school visits and picnics in preparation for Ollie starting reception in September (how has that happened?). Its been…

{The Ordinary Moments} #20 A New Tradition

This year I’ve fully embraced the blogger cliches – from bluebells, to the rapeseed fields and most recently visiting the Lavender Farm. Cotswold Lavender at Snowshill is about 45 minutes away from us, and I can’t believe we had not heard of it before. It is near to Cotswold Farm park where we visit at least once a year, and next year we will definitely make a day of it and do both. Ell and the kids were dubious – after all what is so exciting about fields and fields of purple flowers? Our first attempt was a bit of…

Autumn/Birthday Wishlist | Mummy Style

Oh no she didn’t just mention the A word! I’m sorry!!  The grey soggy weather that we’ve had this week, coupled with the awful cough I’ve had has only meant one thing this week – lots of Netflix and lots of online window shopping.  September to the end of December is my favourite time of year – the autumn and the run up to The C word – I’m not brace enough to type that one yet.  I wouldn’t be a good wife / daughter if I didn’t come up with some Birthday ideas for my birthday in September, and…
