The Siblings Project – March 2017

The last month has flown by since February’s siblings project – it seems like 5 minutes ago I was bribing the kids to take last months photos, and this morning I had a bit of a panic when I realised we didn’t have any for this month – cue in impromptu photo shoot before school – it went pretty smoothly and we weren’t even late for school! The last four weeks have passed with luckily a lot less illness than the previous few months. The kids have been ticking along nicely, all waiting on Spring arriving. Izzie and Ollie seem…

{The Ordinary Moments} #10 Spring has arrived

Spring has finally sprung!! I couldn’t be happier about it. The illness seems to be banished (touching wood like a crazy person) and we are all ready for the longer brighter days. I’m a day late with my ordinary moments post but we had a busy and productive weekend. It was spent making the garden ‘spring’ ready. The garden path was power washed. “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gibran This weekend was a huge one for the biggest and had to feature in my Living Arrows post. She went for her first ever sleepover (excluding the couple she has had with Nanny). I think I’ve only ever been apart from Izzie for four nights since she was born and she is 7 in 3 weeks. That sounds awful when I read it back. I’m not overly attached to her or won’t let her go. We haven’t had many opportunities to leave the kids. Especially…

We discovered Bibetta products when we started weaning Mason just after he turned 6 months old. With Izzie and Ollie we had an array of different bibs, ranging from long sleeved, to plastic. The plastic ones always seemed to big for their necks, and the long sleeve ones, although good at covering their clothes were a huge faff to get on. We found out about the Bibetta Ultrabibs™ range when a friend had bought some of their bibs and I was instanty impressed. We bought a few and have never looked back. They are made from a type of material…

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gibran I am going to sound like the worlds worst mother, but I’ve been finding that I dread Thursdays. Thursday is the day that Ollie doesn’t go to preschool. It’s also the day that Izzie has Forest School so doesn’t need picking up until 4.30pm. It alway seems like such a long day. Ollie can get quite frustrated when he is bored. At the moment he is streets ahead of where Izzie was at the same age. I think because he thrives on keeping himself busy…
