{The Ordinary Moments} #9 Reunions & House Stuff

This week has finally been illness free (YES!!) although hectic with a visit to the dentist, and parents evening. I think spring is finally in the air. This weekend we did manage to get out for some fresh air on Saturday. Izzie was so happy to be reunited with her best friend who we haven’t seen since they moved in January. We had a lovely walk at the local arboretum followed by a pub lunch. We had such a lovely time and all the kids behaved – obviously they had their moments. Sunday was spent in the house, doing a bit of…

The Me & Mine Project – February 2017

We are finally at the end of February and hopefully finally coming to end of winter. (Although on a side note I thought I was a day late after Izzie told me this morning it was the 1st of March – this led to me posting it on Instagram and Twitter and causing a few laughs when people had to tell me it was still February – oops – never take the word of a six year old!) February hasn’t been the best month in our house. It never is – it is always hard on the 1st of the…

{Living Arrows 2017} #7

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gibran I love the photos that I’ve taken for this weeks Living Arrows. We took the kids bowling for the first time on Sunday – it was so much fun for the most part. Ell convinced me to book two games, and the second game was asking a bit much, as the kids had started to get tired. Izzie ended up getting a bit of strop on as she wasn’t winning (six year old problems) and Ollie decided he didn’t want to play anymore. I thought…

{The Ordinary Moments} #8 Mind The Gap Please

I wanted to start off this weeks Ordinary Moments saying, we nearly managed to make it through a week without any illness (yay!) until we got to Friday and Mason woke up looking like he had been in a fight – his eye was swollen shut, and he was very very irritable (hence him not complying for photos this week!!). A trip to the doctors diagnosed conjunctivitis, although we had to keep  close eye (no pun intended) on it, as apparently there is a type of eye infection that can be very dangerous if left without a different type of…

Joules Girls – Spring Style Wishlist

Its no secret I am a huge Joules fan – more often than not my kids (and me) will be decked out in their clothes. Ell says its because I’m a snob – far from it – their quality is second to none. Izzie really suits their clothes, and they last her for AGES. I’m not kidding when I tell you she has a dress that has lasted her 4 years – first as a dress and now as a tunic over jeans – and it still looks like new. With that in mind, and the fact that Joules have…

{Living Arrows 2017} #6

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gibran   This weeks Living Arrows is a series of photos from our afternoon at the beach on Friday. The first time Mason had really played in the sand with a bucket and spade – on our last holiday he wasnt quite dexterous enough to work out the spade. I love these photos – you can see his joy at throwing the sand in the air, and then his face at the end when we told him not to throw it. He had a wonderful time digging and filling…
