My parents still live in the same house that I grew up in, from the age of two and a half. They live in a tiny village in the Gloucestershire countryside – about 15 minutes from where we live now. I didn’t really appreciate how lucky I was to grow up there – surrounded by fields and animals. We still live in a country town, but its not the same as a village. Every year the kids put their request in for carving the pumpkin – it is Daddy’s specialty. Over the years we’ve had everything from Mickey Mouse, to black cats. This year was Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas!   We had my best friends daughters first birthday party on the Sunday, the day before Halloween – she is a Halloween baby, so the kids got to dress up two days in a row.
