The Siblings Project – October 2016

This months photos were taken after a very stressful ‘session’ of trying to take some autumnal shots. We had been to our local arboretum, Westonbirt, and from the moment we arrived, the only child in a compliant mood was the littlest one. It was also a fail, as although it is October, at this point, there were hardly any leaves down – I think this year has been so much milder in September than last year. I think I took over 100 photos that morning and very few were useable.   Ollie is going through a stage at the moment…

Autumnal Living Room Mini Makeover

Our house is generally cosy, as it is small, and there are five of us, plus a dog and a cat living in it. To be honest though, I like it that way. It easy to keep clean, and, being a terraced new build, it is always lovely and warm. Our electric and gas bills are also very low. Win! Our living room is mostly decorated in a pale grey/creamy colour with a mauve feature wall. Our sofa is mauve and we have a cream carpet. In in the summer I love it, as it is light and our floral…

Sophie | Stillbirth & Us | Our Story of Baby Loss

I’ve never written down Sophie’s story until now. I’ve had the post title ‘Sophie’ in my draft posts for a long time. I did write the post ‘February 1st‘ which included our only photo of my pregnancy with Sophie. I’ve written about how I felt about her anniversary/birthday, how it feels to be an angel mummy – especially when people don’t know you are one. I’ve not written Sophie’s story. Why? What we did Summer 2016 – week 5

Week 5 – 22nd – 28th August. This was the week I started to struggle. The first 4 weeks of the summer were fine, there weren’t too many arguments or fighting or boredom. This week we all started to drive each other a little mad. Funds had also started to dwindle at the end of the month! It was mainly a boring, at home week, with plenty of tidying, cleaning and catching up on things that had been neglected through the summer. On Tuesday we did pop to The Mall at Cribbs Causeway to see the Gromit Unleased Exhibition. A couple…

What we did Summer 2016 – Week 4 & going to London to see the Queen (or not!)

Week 4 – 14th – 21st August 2016 We started off our first day back from holiday, and our first day reunited with Harley with a lovely river walk. Harley had a whale of a time swimming in the river and Daddy and the kids had fun hunting for Pokemon! Little did Harley, or we know, this would be his last walk for a while. Poor Harley managed to catch Kennel Cough whilst he was boarding, and the symptoms started to show on Monday. He had the most awful cough and would gag every time. He also started sneezing out…
