A Special Announcement…A Rainbow Pregnancy

…The newest (and final) member of Team Brushneen is due in November 2018! You can watch our announcement video here: It feels like we have known, and been keeping this quiet forever. I honestly didn’t think when I took a test just before we went to Disneyland Paris in March that it would be positive – mostly because we had only just started trying, and with Mason it took 4/5 months for me to fall pregnant. I’ve honestly never been so excited to see the word ‘PREGNANT’. I will be documenting this pregnancy over here on my blog and via…

Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep Day & Night | REVIEW

At the end of January I was so excited to be invited to an event in London with the wonderful Tommee Tippee for the launch of their new Perfect Prep Day & Night Machine. Although we currently don’t have a baby who we make bottles up for, I’ve made no secret of the fact we would like to add to our family. That, along with the fact that we had owned the original Perfect Prep machine and found it life changing when we had Mason as a baby, I was so excited to see the new machine and the improvements…

The Siblings Project {April 2018}

I can’t believe this is the first post I’ve written in nearly a month. What with the Easter holidays, and the build up to Mason starting preschool, where I realised I wanted to enjoy my last bit of time with him, things have all been a bit manic. We missed last months post as we were at Disneyland, although I think I’ll pop the photos into a wordless post, as we got some lovely sibling shots whilst there. Having these three home for Easter was both amazing, exhausting and stressful in equal parts. We  have definitely reverted to a lot…

Joyful Family Moments in the Snow #OreoCookieQuest with BritMums*

As a family of five day to day life can be incredibly busy. Between school runs, dog walks, homework, housework and everything in between it can be so easy to miss out on special family moments, whilst you are all rushing around with so much to do. We were all very grateful for the snow the other week (yesterday’s snow, not so much – FYI Mother Nature, it’s nearly April!). It gave us some time to spend together as a family, just enjoying each other’s company – although admittedly there were still some squabbles over who got to ride on…

Dear Gemma… {A Letter To Myself As A First Time Mummy} #VicksBabyRub Challenge*

Dear Gemma {circa 2010}, Congratulations, you are pregnant (and expecting a little girl). I know you weren’t planning to fall pregnant so quickly – and I certainly know that Ell was hoping to get in a bit more ‘practice’ first – after all you had only been married 3 months when you discovered you were going to be parents. Remember that day? Ell had told you to wait to take a pregnancy test until you missed your period, after all ‘how expensive!’ are those tests. Of course you snuck upstairs when he was mowing the lawn – one day you’ll…

The Me & Mine Project – February 2018

It’s the end of February – we’ll actually it’s the beginning of March as I’m writing this – I forgot to take some family photos in February, but luckily Mother Nature sent along some snow and we managed to grab these! February for me was the month of illness – mainly for me. I thought I’d done well getting this far without hardly even a sniffle but I then ended up with a tummy bug and then a cold and cough which made me ache all over. Because of this, February felt like it was so battening down the hatches…
