*that I would REALLY love (*hint hint wink wink*) I’m sat under a blanket compiling this list. It’s a Monday morning, I’ve got two poorly boys, one who is home from school, and I’m feeling not so great myself. I’ve been in a lot of pain with a cyst on my ovary – the first I’ve had in nearly three years – and I’ve had to cancel a planned trip to London on Wednesday, where I was going to be visiting Youtube HQ. I needed some serious cheering up, and so thought I would write my Christmas list – my…

*This post is an entry for the Britmums Christmas #sdfiverchallenge, sponsored by Sportsdirect.com Having sports mad husband (now he’s given up football, he thrown himself full on into playing golf guys!), the mention of Sports Direct usually brings me out in a cold sweat – usually at thought of spending a riculous amount of money on some item of golf paraphernalia . I – and I’m guessing I would be right in thinking most others probably associate Sports Direct with trainers and sporting equipment, but did you know they also have huge selection of other things, including gifts for £5…

We are huge fans of a self catering holiday. As a family on the ‘larger side’ it is usually the most affordable option for us. It is also the easiest option, as despite our children getting older now, and being out of the bottle stage (and not too far from being out of the nappy stage), we still seem to take a ridiculous amount of things with us when we go anywhere. We couldn’t wait for our visit to beautiful Bluestone Resort in Pembrokeshire, Wales. It is not an area of the UK that we’ve previously explored and everyone who…

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gilbran I didn’t realise how long it has been since I linked up with Living Arrows. Life has been so crazy lately, and time is just flying. I’m starting to panic a little about everything we have to fit in before Christmas – and generally just trying to remember everything day to day. I wanted to write this post today, as I took some photos during half term, and they made really sit up and realise how big my babies were getting. Obviously I know…

As a family, the majority of our family holidays are based in the UK. Primarily for ease due to the amount of things we have to take with three young children – nappies, sippy cups, and pushchairs – plus their scooters and helmets for exploring. I think I’ve actually become quite good at getting everything packed (tightly!) into the car and remembering what we need. One thing I’m not so good at though is entertaining the kids during the car journey. This year we have visited Cornwall twice, and most recently Wales. Each time, the journey has been over 2…

As a kid I used to cringe when I had a play date that involved my mum picking them up in the car. We were always subjected to listening to Classic Gold on MW – all songs from the sixties and seventies and I always thought my mum was totally embarrassing. Unsurprisingly though it has given me a taste for a large range of music. I could probably sing the words to most songs from the sixties and seventies now. The eighties too. I’m now that embarrassing Mum that makes her kids listen to the music from my childhood (hellloooo…
