Bravado Designs Nursing Bras Soft Petal Collection | REVIEW

Bravado Designs Nursing Bras Soft Petal Collection | REVIEW

I remember the days of being early pregnant with my first baby back in 2009 and extensively researching every little thing about pregnancy and babies. I bought maternity bras that I wore pretty much from getting a positive test, and did everything by the book.

Fast forward nearly 9 years, and I’m three babies and four pregnancies down, in the middle of my fifth and that enthusiasm for the little details has long gone – mainly just because I’m so busy trying to keep on top of every day life, things like maternity bra shopping are way down the list.

I was so pleased to be asked to try out Bravado Designs New Soft Petal Collection – with a range of styles and colours, there is something to suit everyone. In all my years of being pregnant and having tiny babies I’ve never treated myself to a lovely maternity bra, opting for cheaper versions, but after trying out these two beauties from Bravado designs I’m kicking myself for not trying them out before.

I was kindly sent The Buttercup Nursing Bra in black, and The Ballet Nursing Bra in ‘dusted peony’. On first impression, they are literally the softest material I’ve ever felt and incredibly well made with great attention to detail.

I love the Rose Gold Clasps and hardware on the Buttercup bra. It has super soft foam cups, is wire free, and is honestly the most comfortable bra I’ve ever worn and really supportive. It has easy to open clasps for after baby is born and you are nursing, but also comes with a conversion kit, which allows you to convert your nursing bra to a regular one when you are ready to. I also sized up in my back size worrying that due to being pregnant it would be tight, but it wasn’t nescessary as the bras also come with an handy back strap extender. You also have the option to criss cross the straps to make it work underneath different outfits. The Buttercup Nursing Bra retails at £39 (RRP) and comes in black and nude, and I would definitely say it is an investment piece that will take you from the early days of pregnancy, through nursing and beyond.

I was also sent the very comfortable Ballet Nursing bra, which was incredibly welcome in the hot weather we’ve just been having. It is a pull on style, and the cups are modal lined and super soft. I can see myself getting a lot of use out of this in the early days of having a newborn. It has pull away access which means not having to undo clasps and is perfect for sleeping or lounging around in, plus the dusted peony colour is just beautiful – it also comes in black and nude colour ways and retails for £26 (RRP).

I’m looking forward to getting lots of use out of both bras over the next couple of months – plus it is so nice to have nice looking, and well fitting maternity/nursing bras that make you feel good when wearing them!

Disclaimer: I was kindly sent both bras in exchange for an honest review. All opinions and photographs are as always my own.
