Ollie’s 5th Birthday | Star Wars Party Pack from Party Bags & Supplies REVIEW

6 days before Christmas Ollie turned 5. Having your birthday just before Christmas has its good and bad parts. Bad – when people wrap your presents in Christmas paper, or give you a joint Christmas and Birthday gift (luckily we have wonderful family and friends and this rarely happens). Good – everyone is in a festive party mood already, and you get presents twice within a week.

Ollie started school this year, and so he was lucky to have two parties.  We held a joint birthday party with one of his friends for their classmates at a local soft play. We have done this with both Izzie and Ollie for the last few years, and to be honest it really is the way forward for me as a busy mum.

We do always have a separate party at home for all the children for family and close friends and their children, either on the day of their birthday or on the weekend closest to it. Its a tradition we started when Izzie was small and is something we have carried through for all their birthdays.

Each year they always have a new obsession, and we have had Thunderbirds, Paw Patrol and Mickey Mouse themed party decor and accessories for Ollie over the years. His current obsession is Star Wars and we were delighted when I received an email from the lovely people at Party Bags and Supplies offering us the chance to review one of their Party Kits suitable for 8 people.

The kit came with a plastic tablecloth, 8 plates and cups, 16 napkins, and filled party bags for 8 children. It was perfect for a small at home party, as I didn’t have to put in a huge amount of thought (I know how bad that sounds, but right before Christmas, two parties have the potential to be pretty stressful). The party bags included a packet of sweets, a monster finger puppet, a planet fact card (my 7 year was obsessed with these) and an inflatable light sabre. The kids all loved the contents – Daddy perhaps not so much when he was being attacked by loads of inflatable light sabres.

As you can see, along with some helium balloons we had bought for Ollie, it made the kitchen look perfectly party ready, and in super quick time. I loved the convenience of the party kit, and everything included in it was excellent quality. They are the perfect solution for busy parents.

There is a huge range of products on the Party Bags and Supplies website, and you can buy the pre filed party bags separately from the party decor, with prices starting from just £1 for a pre filled bag. They have so many different character options, from Frozen, to Peppa pig, and Paw Patrol to The Very Hungry Caterpillar –  there really is something for everyone. I would highly recommend checking them out for hassle free kids party planning.

Ollie absolutely loved his Star Wars Party, and a huge thank you to Party Bags and Supplies for making it special for him, and for making it easy on me.
