The Me & Mine Project – November 2016

I am linking up again with the fantastic Me & Mine Project this month. I love that we have a monthly family photo because of this, although this month I left it way too late with everything going on, and we ended up with the tripod in the living room. It was getting near to the kids bedtime and it was a struggle but we got a couple of half decent photos – I think if everyone is looking the same way it is nothing short of a miracle. This month has been as hectic as ever. With Christmas fast…

The Trees that are now grown up #chasingnature

Two Sundays ago, the weather was looking perfect for a dog walk – it was chilly but the rain from the previous day had dried up and we were all in need of some fresh air. I took my camera along with the intention of getting some shots of the kids running around. Badminton Estate is near my parents house and there are loads of places to wander, and big open spaces, perfect for wild kids and crazy dogs. This is mainly a photo heavy post, but I just wanted to point out the trees in the first photo. When…

Things to do during Christmas/Winter 2016

As much as I love Autumn, Winter – well Christmas in particular is my favourite time of year – the smells, the food, the happiness. We have a lot of traditions in our house for Christmas, so I thought I would write down a winter bucket list (as I did for Autumn) and see how many we can check off over the colder months ahead….I’ve also added in some photos from when we have done things in previous years – how cute are tiny Izzie and Ollie! 1. Make Mulled Wine and Mulled Cider 2. Decorate the house for Christmas…

Playing in the Leaves #chasingnature

When you are little there isn’t any better fun in Autumn, than playing in the leaves. My mum has two big trees in her garden, an Acer tree with beautiful golden leaves, and a cherry blossom trees on which the leaves go a gorgeous red. We had a plan a few weeks ago to go out and take some photos of the kids and Ollie was feeling very under the weather, and so we ended up in mums garden, playing with the leaves. Last Autumn Mason was very little and so this is his first experience of leaves – and…

The Siblings Project – November 2016

It feels like I say this all the time at the moment, but this month has been a mixed bag again. I’m not sure if this is now because we are busier than ever as a family, the fact that it is getting colder, and all the germs that have come along with it, or just that three kids is hard – amazing, but hard! Half term was lovely to have them home but everyone had a cold, so it was a quiet one – which I think we all needed. We’ve had plenty of time out in the fresh…

Conker Hunting October 2016 #chasingnature

My parents still live in the same house that I grew up in, from the age of two and a half. They live in a tiny village in the Gloucestershire countryside – about 15 minutes from where we live now. I didn’t really appreciate how lucky I was to grow up there – surrounded by fields and animals. We still live in a country town, but its not the same as a village. Most Saturdays we go to Nanny and Grampy’s when Ell is playing football, and take the opportunity wherever possible to get the kids out for a walk.…
