The Me & Mine Project – March 2017

me & mine march

March seems to have just flown by and its time again to post our Me & Mine Project photos. It has overall been a positive month for us, compared to February (wow February sucked). Spring has sprung and the germs seem to have disappeared with winter – you have no idea how happy I am to write that.

We are still in the throes of the kitchen incident – and waiting for the insurance to pay out so we can start ripping out the damaged kitchen and installing our dream one. We spent a very long. Saturday evening planning it all out – I’m so excited to finally be having it exactly how we want it – and to be getting rid of our hideous tiles and black worktops. Fingers crossed by April’s Me and Mine we will be well on the way.

March has had a lot more sunny days, we have sorted the garden and the Little Brushneen’s are so happy to be able to play outside and bounce on the trampoline.

Izzie also had her first sleepover – although she admitted afterwards she probably wasn’t ready to be away from mummy for so long (mummy may have done a happy dance)!

The main highlight of March was near the end when we spend two days (including Mothers Day) at Legoland. This is where this months photos were taken.

Izzie was so happy to meet the Lego Friends, Ollie was beside himself meeting Lego Batman, the older two went on a log flume for the first time (and got soaked much to Mummy and Mason’s delight as we were watching) and got their Lego ‘Driving Licences’. We loved the Legoland hotel although lights out were an issue as the kids had their own tv and were reluctant to turn it off!

March also saw me take a little bit of a step back from blogging as I felt like I was being torn too many different ways and feeling overwhelmed with trying to get everything done. I feel refreshed after a little break and am looking forward to getting things more in order in April. As long as I am capturing our memories I am happy.

April will bring Izzie’s 7th birthday, hopefully more sunny days and time at the park after school, and the school holidays. We don’t have anything really planned and I think a month like this will be very welcome – getting back to family walks and getting out in the sunshine sounds so perfect after a stressful and busy few months. I am aiming to give myself a bit more me time this month – whether that is watching a bit of tv I want to watch – or taking an hour to have a hot bath and wash my hair.

I love taking these family shots each month – it’s so lovely to look back on them and see how everyone has changed.
