The Me & Mine Project – November 2017

The Me & Mine Project – November 2017

This month has sort of flown by but when you are waiting for something exciting (CHRISTMAS!) it’s also kind of dragged. It’s been a good month, busy as always. As I’ve said before life seems to just be busy now, I think I just need to work out how to handle it better.

I’ve had an exciting month where I went to London for the day to a wonderful event ran by Mumsnet and even managed to take a tube for the first time by myself (I get how sad that sounds). Annoyingly although the event was amazing, I ended up wondering exactly why I do this as it made me doubt my capabilities. I soon rectified that though by editing a family Sunday vlog and realising how lucky I am to be able to capture so many amazing memories.

The train journey home was eventful with my train being cancelled and me having to run for another one – luckily I made it just in time but it made me realise how much I love being at home. With these four is my happy place, although 90% of the time they drive me and each other insane.

Me and Ell managed to squish in our first date night since June(!!) and we had an amazing night with friends celebrating Halloween and Bonfire night.

It has however been a month of illness – although I’m impressed that we made it to nearly halfway through November without succumbing to anything.

The boys both got a horrendous cough and cold, which resulted in a few sleepless nights as the cough just kept waking them and us up. I then fell poorly with a cyst on my ovary which made me feel really grotty although it has definitely started to subside now.

Izzie marched in her first ever remembrance parade with Brownies, and we had an okayish Parent’s evening. Ollie has evidently decided he is the class clown – he seems to enjoy getting a laugh out of everyone. I’m hoping that after a talk he’s realised it’s not ok to keep getting told off and things seemed to have settled down.

We are all currently super excited for Christmas – I can’t wait for the break when Ell has time off work and the kids are off school and we get to spend some family time together. We are going to be doing vlogmas this year and I can’t wait to capture our memories. It seems a bit silly to use Christmas photos for our November Me and Mine Project but we are all feeling festive after a visit to see the Coca Cola Christmas truck at the weekend. The others are from a very ordinary Sunday dog walk. I normally try to take specific family photos each month but I loved these so much I had to use them.
