As I’m so behind, obviously these photos were taken a few weeks ago in the half term holidays, but I couldn’t not share them.
I love the school holidays, as as much as it can be a bit stressful having all three children to entertain at once, I love the freedom that it gives us.
When Izzie was a baby , me and my mum would walk for miles and miles with her in the pushchair, usually doing the same lop near my mums house. It is mostly down lanes or country roads so you very rarely see traffic. Now that the kids are older we tend to go the same route as it is quiet, and they can ride their scooters, and there is plenty to see.
The Cotswolds is such a beautiful area to live in, and we are so lucky. Right on your door step there are cows and sheep, and beautiful fields. My kids love the outdoors – they are never happier when running around in wellies – although thanks to the lovely weather we’ve been having, wellies were not nescessary.
We had such a lovely walk, looking at the wild flowers, and we even saw a couple of tiny foals in the field, which the kids loved. Then it was back to Nanny’s for ice cream obviously.
I honestly can’t wait for the summer holidays – although it will be bittersweet as Ollie is starting school in September. This just means we will get to appreciate the holidays even more.
I love linking up with Katie and Donna for the Ordinary Moments – although I’ve been a bit lapse lately. You can check out who else has linked up this week here:
What a beautiful place to live and to have this all on your doorstep. I feel the same about the holidays too x #theordinarymoments
