{The Ordinary Moments} #20 A New Tradition

{The Ordinary Moments} #20 A New Tradition

This year I’ve fully embraced the blogger cliches – from bluebells, to the rapeseed fields and most recently visiting the Lavender Farm. Cotswold Lavender at Snowshill is about 45 minutes away from us, and I can’t believe we had not heard of it before. It is near to Cotswold Farm park where we visit at least once a year, and next year we will definitely make a day of it and do both.

Ell and the kids were dubious – after all what is so exciting about fields and fields of purple flowers?

Our first attempt was a bit of a fail – it threw down on the way there and we ended up turning round and coming back home.

We tried again the next day, and although we had gloomy skies, the kids had the most wonderful morning, running and down the rows of Lavender. All in all I took over 300 photos and it was so hard to whittle them down to my favourites.

Before leaving, we also  visited the cafe and got to try some Lavender ice-cream, and I popped to the gift shop and managed to get hold of some Lavender honey and Lavender sugar, which I’m excited to try baking with.

I think this will now be a yearly tradition for us – and another way to see how the kids grow year on year.

Without further ado, here are my favourite photos from our morning amongst the Lavender…

Your lavender shots are perfect. It’s a lovely tradition, and hard to resist when you know you can capture such gorgeous photographs and memories! We have found a lavender field near us in Yorkshire and I think we will have to visit!

There is something so beautiful about a sea of purple as far as you can see. It’s so lovely to see photos of Lavender fields pop over all over IG and everyone is always beautiful. It’s a great tradition to have x #theordinarymoments

I love a good cliche! We don’t have lavender fields near us and I’m so sad, that and relived as it gives me a headache but I know I’d do it anyway ?
