{The Ordinary Moments 2017} #12 Lazy Days and Park Life

Even though we don’t have anything too exciting going on in our day to day lives, life can be so hectic. I’m not sure if this is having three kids, having kids at school/preschool or just having kids in general.

At the moment life is whizzing by in a blur of homework, play dates and housework – mainly that ever growing washing pile. I find myself living for Sundays when we can have time to slow down, plod along and be just the five of us. Hectic seems to be our new ordinary, and I can’t explain how much I am looking forward to having the Easter holidays with the kids. Just to break that routine of needing to be here, there and everywhere each day (usually at the same time).

Last weekend, Me and Ell went out on Saturday night to a party. We rarely have nights out where we can both have a drink and my father in law kindly ferried us there and back. It was lovely to be able to enjoy the evening, but waking up the next morning to the reality of three LOUD children – it reminded me why I don’t drink much.

Sunday was spent in a haze of adult headaches, some much needed fresh air at the park, and a cheeky McDonald’s for tea.

No housework was done, but it was worth it to spend the day enjoying the kids, practising riding bikes, and just enjoying the park and the fresh air.

These quieter days, although simple are the best days.

I have to say, in my fragile state, these may be the worst photos I’ve taken, but they show the kids having fun, they show how happy they were and life at the moment is a bit of a blur, so why shouldn’t my photos be too!

Those simple days are most definitely the best. Sometimes all you need is some fresh air and togetherness x
