The Siblings Project {April 2018}

I can’t believe this is the first post I’ve written in nearly a month. What with the Easter holidays, and the build up to Mason starting preschool, where I realised I wanted to enjoy my last bit of time with him, things have all been a bit manic. We missed last months post as we were at Disneyland, although I think I’ll pop the photos into a wordless post, as we got some lovely sibling shots whilst there.

Having these three home for Easter was both amazing, exhausting and stressful in equal parts. We  have definitely reverted to a lot of fighting between all three of them, and what with the weather being so wet and chilly, we spent a lot of time indoors – all being stuck in one room is a breeding ground for squabbling unfortunately.

Its typical that the day they went back to school the temperature started to rise and the sun came out. Normally during the Easter holidays the kids spend all their time out side, but alas, this Ester it was not meant to be. Coupled with the fact that i’ve been nursing a sore back, life has been a bit dull and boring lately.

Of course in amongst that we’ve celebrated Izzie’s 8th birthday, and today Mason started preschool. I took these photos outside in the garden quickly this morning before school, and as I sit here in a VERY quiet house writing this, I can’t believe my littlest baby has flown the nest. Its the first time in over 8 years that I’ve been at home without a little one and its a very weird feeling. I love these pictures though, and I’m overwhelmingly proud of all of them, and I can’t believe how grown up they all are now. I’m not sure I can get used to hearing myself think though!
