Elf on the Shelf – What Our Elves have got upto…30 Ideas for cheeky elves

Disclaimer: All photographs are my own and are copyright of this blog. Some ideas have however been borrowed over the years and I do not claim the originality of them December 1st 2016 was an exciting day in the Brushneen house. We got a very exciting visit for the first time from Scout. Scout is a very special Elf who visits us from December 1st to the 23rd and acts as Santa’s Eyes and Ears, making sure the Little Brushneen’s are on their very best behaviour in the run upto the big day. In 2017, Scout brought a friend (Izzie…

2017 – Our Year In Photos

Happy New Year and welcome back! I’ve been quiet on here throughout December, as I took part in Vlogmas. Uploading videos every day up until Christmas was hectic, and a huge learning experience. I captured so many memories and it was wonderful to take part in. It did make me realise how much I love Youtube, but I also missed blogging, and particularly taking photographs. I am gutted that I missed uploading our Me & Mine Project for December, but I literally took no family photos all month. With that in mind, I thought I would do a round up…

Our Summer Holiday to Cornwall | August 2017

*WARNING* Photo Heavy Post Everytime we go away, or have a little trip somewhere I get totally camera happy, and take hundreds of photos. As much as I would love to share every single one on Instagram I think everyone would end up bored of me, hence why I like popping them all into a blog post. Fields of Gold | April 2017

*This is a very photo heavy post – sorry but not sorry!* Every year I look at other blogs and see beautiful photos taken in the gorgeous rape seed fields. On a very boring day during the Easter holidays, the kids and I went on a secret spy mission to get some photos ourselves. I love how the bright yellow colours have come out and we had a wonderful hour – with zero fighting. I will treasure these photos of my babies, and remember this as a happy day amongst a lot of kitchen chaos that was going on. Here…

Izzie’s 7th Birthday Memories

Izzie turned 7 on the 8th April 2017. This is another photo heavy post but I love doing these so I can keep the photo memories from special events in one place. Her actual birthday was spent with friends at our local Arboretum, and then we had a chilled afternoon at home in the garden. The following day we had family and friends round for a BBQ and we had the most glorious hot weather – it was roasting – mirroring the weather from the day she was born. Here are the photos I took of Izzie’s 7th Birthday weekend…

Christmas Photo Round Up 2016

It is well into January now, and i;ve written  few posts which have involved our Christmas period 2016. It was a funny old one – the build up went on forever, and there was a lot of illness (including a scary hospital stay for Mason) in our house. We still managed to get a lot done, and loads of memories made. I just wanted to do a quick round ups of my favourite photos (in no particular order), so here they are – the Christmas Izzie was 6, Ollie turned 4 and Mason was 1…          …
