If you’ve read any of my recent posts, you will notice that I’ve touched on the fact I was feeling pretty rubbish last week. The January Blues hit me big time. For me, it is always a mixture of things in January. The weeks leading up to Sophie’s anniversary, which is February 1st, is never easy. This year will mark 5 years since she was born sleeping. I think her anniversary, coupled with the disappearance of the pretty sparkling Christmas decorations, the dullness of the grey, damp, cold weather, the lack of money after Christmas and the January germs,…

Never get too excited for plans until they happen as a child will get ill/bump/tantrum – the amount of meals out/days out/nights out we’ve had to cancel because something has happened to one of them – but I wouldn’t be anywhere else obviously. Embrace the mess – your house will never be tidy again – I can get upstairs tidy, or downstairs but never both at the same time. And there is always a little person going behind you and pulling out what you’ve just put away. Or one encouraging another one to do it…. Organisation is key – Its the same for having kids generally, but with threee you…

Thats not to say I haven’t enjoyed just running with it for the last  weeks – the lack…

Monday 11th July 2016 We hear people talking about mummy guilt a lot, but what about mummy doubt? As a mum I feel like I spend a lot of my time questioning things. Am I making the right decisons? There is no instruction manual that comes with a baby. You can read all the pregnancy books you want, but nothing can really prepare for every aspect of being a parent. When Izze was born, neither myself or Ell had looked after a baby before – changed a nappy or anything. In the begining, we pretty much winged it and learnt…

Well…where to start… I’ve been thinking about starting a blog for a while now – I tried and failed once before, but I feel like the time is right to have another go at it. I always kept a diary when I was younger and I should technically have plenty of time being a stay at home mummy but some days my feet barely touch the floor! I love reading other people’s blogs, I spend most of my free time doing it, and was thinking, even if not for others to read, it would be a lovely thing to look…
