OUR WEEKEND STAY AT TREVORNICK, CORNWALL | Review

As a child some of my favourites memories were our holidays to Devon in a static caravan – and for Ell, although his family stayed in Cornwall. It’s actually a tradition we’ve carried on since having our own children – they love caravan holidays, and they love Cornwall. We were so excited to be invited for a weekend stay at Trevornick, Holywell Bay in one of their brand new static caravans.  Trevornick is a 5* family owned site 5.5 miles from Newquay, with over 600 camping and touring pitches, 36 fully equipped Eurotents, and from the start of the 2018…

Ollie’s 5th Birthday | Star Wars Party Pack from Party Bags & Supplies REVIEW

6 days before Christmas Ollie turned 5. Having your birthday just before Christmas has its good and bad parts. Bad – when people wrap your presents in Christmas paper, or give you a joint Christmas and Birthday gift (luckily we have wonderful family and friends and this rarely happens). Good – everyone is in a festive party mood already, and you get presents twice within a week. Ollie started school this year, and so he was lucky to have two parties.  We held a joint birthday party with one of his friends for their classmates at a local soft play. We…

Power Rippers 2 in 1 Competition Set | REVIEW

I would say we are quite a competitive family – I actually look forward to when the kids are a bit older so we can pick teams and go head to head during board games. Ell especially is a big kid and loves any toy that he can get down on the floor and play with the kids. I’m not sure who was more excited when we received the Power Rippers 2 in 1 competition set – Ell or the kids. It has been set up so many times since we received it and they’ve had hours of fun with…

A Sunday Tradition | Toby Carvery Trowbridge Review

As a kid, every Sunday without fail we would have a roast dinner. Whether my Mum cooked it, or my Nan – even when we were on holiday we would even find a Carvery or somewhere serving Sunday lunch. Since being married and having children, I have to say it isn’t a tradition that I’ve continued. Personally I find it too much to cook a roast dinner every week, as our weekends are always super busy, with homework, and trying to squeeze in the all important family time together. By the time you have shopped for what you need, cooked…

The Hair Helper Review | Hair Accessory Storage for a messy 7 year old

I’m not sure if it is that Izzie is the eldest, that she’s a born muddler, or that she takes after her mother and hoards everything, but wow does she have a messy bedroom full of things. Having the smallest room probably doesn’t help, but believe me when I say, Izzie likes to collect thing. From little toys, to bits of string (that she may later need for a ‘craft project’), you name it and you will probably find it in her bedroom. The thing we probably have to most of though, is hair accessories. From a tiny baby, Izzie…

Our Holiday to Bluestone Wales – October 2017

We are huge fans of a self catering holiday. As a family on the ‘larger side’ it is usually the most affordable option for us. It is also the easiest option, as despite our children getting older now, and being out of the bottle stage (and not too far from being out of the nappy stage), we still seem to take a ridiculous amount of things with us when we go anywhere. We couldn’t wait for our visit to beautiful Bluestone Resort in Pembrokeshire, Wales. It is not an area of the UK that we’ve previously explored and everyone who…
