The one thing that the Little Brushneen’s are always good at is getting messy. Honestly, by 3pm you would think that I’d sent them down a mine rather than to school each day. We are huge fans of messy play and craft – well I say we, the kids mainly. I enjoy it when it’s happening, and love that the kids enjoy it but then hate the mess and washing of the clothes afterwards. I have at points genuinely thought of taking out shares in stain removers as we go through so many. As Izzie and Ollie have got older…

If you have a child a similar age to Izzie (7 going on 17 sometimes) you will probably have heard of NumNoms. If you haven’t, you must have been living under a rock! Izzie is a big fan of any toy that you can collect. She regularly finds a new collection and manages to con my mum into buying her new ones on her weekly shop – the benefits of being the first born grandchild obviously. Lately NumNoms have been the favourite and I can see why. They are collectible, cute and smell lovely. Izzie has also been loving the…

All my children ave been animal obsessed – before they could say the names of the animals, they could make the noises that they make. We have a ridiculous collection of soft toys animals, and various books and plastic toys featuring different animals, but we have never ad any wooden ones. I love wooden toys – they can literally last for generations and they are timeless – my children love to play with toys that me and my brother played with as kids.  Imagine their delight when they opened a lovely parcel from SRI Toys  containing some lovely wooden animal toys.…

We were really excited to receive these Math games from Cartamundi Fundels. We actually received them a long time ago but with everything has been going on with our kitchen and the bad lighting due to the weather, the Easter holidays were the perfect time to be able to play these and give them a proper review. Izzie has always been into Math and numbers (reading and phonics is another story but she’s getting there) and any chance to play games with numbers, she jumps at. We received two games, Playing with Numbers (RRP £9.99) and a Multiplication pack of…

We discovered Bibetta products when we started weaning Mason just after he turned 6 months old. With Izzie and Ollie we had an array of different bibs, ranging from long sleeved, to plastic. The plastic ones always seemed to big for their necks, and the long sleeve ones, although good at covering their clothes were a huge faff to get on. We found out about the Bibetta Ultrabibs™ range when a friend had bought some of their bibs and I was instanty impressed. We bought a few and have never looked back. They are made from a type of material…

I think as a Mum, when you have a hard day, things aren’t going to plan – or your kids have tracked mud on your new rug (yes it happened), my go to is tea and cake. Most likely why I gained weight after Izzie was born. And Ollie – and Mason actually. Once you are past the newborn days, is is probably advisory to rein in on the cake, but in all seriousness, you really can’t beat a good slice of cake as a pick me up or a treat. I was so excited when I received a message…
