What we did Summer 2016 – week 5
Week 5 – 22nd – 28th August.
This was the week I started to struggle. The first 4 weeks of the summer were fine, there weren’t too many arguments or fighting or boredom. This week we all started to drive each other a little mad. Funds had also started to dwindle at the end of the month! It was mainly a boring, at home week, with plenty of tidying, cleaning and catching up on things that had been neglected through the summer.

On Tuesday we did pop to The Mall at Cribbs Causeway to see the Gromit Unleased Exhibition. A couple of years ago we did parts of the Gromit Trail around Bristol, so the kids were excited to see some of them again – especially for such a fab cause!

Izzies favourite is the Cath Kidston Gromit!
Muddly Wednesday – I kept finding random piles of toys everywhere – it was a one step forward, two steps back kind of day!
Thursday (or Turdsday) morning I was met bright and early with this delightful sight – Louis the dinosaur face down in a potty full of poo. I spent a fun 20 minutes picking poo out of his teeth – I don’t think the dinosaur even appreciated my efforts!!
Making the most of the sun and getting loads of washing dry!
Saturday brought our second wonderful wedding of the season. We had a fab day and evening and caught up with loads of old friends – huge congrats to Lottie and Lee.
Sunday , we went out for the day to Bristol – shopping for my birthday presents – Ell knows it is easier to give me the money and let me loose haha – I had great fun in Jo Malone, The White Company and good old Primark. We also had lunch at Frankie and Bennys – and they brought me out a free pudding with a candle and sang happy birthday to me – I think i’m just loosing the bright red face now.We had a lovely day and the kids were well behaved and ate their food, so it was a win all round!
