{Living Arrows 2017} #15

This weeks photo is Ollie dressed up for May Dancing at his preschool. Honestly I got a little lump in my throat at the cuteness of it all – the outfit, the bows and the dancing, and the beautiful May Arch made of flowers. I remember doing May dancing at school, I can’t say it was my favourite thing as even at a young age the costumes made me cringe but I have happy memories of it. It’s a shame not a lot of schools do it anymore – Izzie’s doesn’t, but it was lovely to watch Ollie and his…

{The Ordinary Moments} #15 A love of photography and fun outside

To most people these photos will not look like an Ordinary Moment – in fact they probably look like they were taken during a family photo shoot. I suppose they were, but it has become an ordinary thing for us to randomly pop out most weekends and find a spot to take photos since I started blogging. I love being able to capture us as a family. I think before I started blogging there were only a handful of photos that featured me in them. Now once a month I make a point of taking photos for the Me &…

Childs Farm – Bathtime with products we love

It’s no secret that we LOVE Child’s Farm toiletries in this house…we are Brand Ambassadors for them for a start. We were so excited to receive a lovely parcel in the post from Martha at Imagination PR, containing some of the lovely CF products. I’m very conscious about what I’m using on my children’s skin and I love that Child’s Farm products have no parabens or mineral oils, are suitable for eczema prone and sensitive skin and they smell lovely. I always find with other ‘kind to skin’ products we’ve tried that they tend to be unscented, but whenever we…

Our Trip to Legoland – March 2017

WARNING: PHOTO HEAVY POST As you may know if you follow me on social media, at the end of March (Mother’s Day weekend) we took a trip to Legoland Windsor, and stayed over night in the Legoland Hotel. Tjis was not our first visit to Legoland – I myself had been as a child, not long after it first opened in 1997, and we had also taken Izzie and Ollie when Mason was a tiny baby, in September 2015. The kids we’re s excited about going, and I have to say there really was something there for everyone. We booked…

{Living Arrows 2017} #14

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gilbran   This week Izzie went to her first Brownie session. She has been counting down the days and been so excited to go. I have very fond memories of Brownies and it taught me valuable life skills so I’m so excited for her to go. She came back absolutely loving it and really excited to get her uniform when she takes her ‘promises’ in a few weeks!

{The Ordinary Moments} #14 DIY Softplay

Life has been upside down lately – anyone who has had work done on their house, knows it is disruptive, and manic, but even more so with three little people trying to live amongst the chaos. Ollie has really struggled with seeing the kitchen ripped out, and all our stuff disappearing – he has got quite confused, and has gone back to waking during the night, and being very hard work during the day. My mum said it mirrors the reaction that I had to us moving house when I was little. I suppose to their little brains, everything is…
