{Living Arrows 2017} #21

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gilbran Brothers – I’ve noticed such a bond growing between these two this week as they have had some time alone, as Ollie finished Preschool a week before Izzie finished school.  Mason is still refusing to speak a lot but Ollie talks to him so clearly and patiently and always tries to explain everything to him. Admittedly they have their moments – Ollie doesn’t always want to share his toys, but I love that all my three are so close (even with the fighting between…

Surviving The Last Week Of Term with Rooi.com

Today is Friday. The last day of the week, and the last day of the Summer term. I’m sure the summer term gets longer and busier every year. There are sports days, trips, fundraisers and a million and one other things to fit in, and quite honestly both me and the kids are DONE! This last week has been a struggle – getting up in the morning and getting out the house. There has been more shouting and cursing under my breath this week than the whole school year put together. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying the…

{The Ordinary Moments} #19 A Letter On Your Last Day At Preschool

Friday 14th July 2017 Dear Ollie This morning I dropped you off at preschool as I have done every term time Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday since September. The Siblings Project – July 2017

It’s Mid July and that means it’s time again for The Siblings Project. This months photos are some of my favourite of my three that I’ve taken. I particularly love how cute they look in their matching wetsuits. We were actually given the smaller two last year by a lady on the beach whose children had outgrown them – there really are some lovely people in the world. July has been all about counting down the end of school and preschool. Even though we had a lovely break in Cornwall at the end of June (where this months photos were…

Why I Support Kicks Count’s Campaign To Ban Home Dopplers | Our Story

In the last 7 years I have been blessed to fall pregnant four times. Four times of excitedly waiting for the word ‘Pregnant’ to flash up on that little Clearblue set screen. Four times of waiting nervously for scans, and four times of planning bedrooms and shopping for tiny little clothes. Four painful labours. Sadly despite this, only three times have I brought my babies home – three times they have slept in those bedrooms, and got to wear the tiny little clothes that I so lovingly picked out for them. Sophie our second daughter was stillborn at 24 weeks…
